- Handout Tony Wagner article, Rigor Redefined; chunk article and assign groups to 2 chunks of info.
- Be prepared to share a quick summary of chunks of reading material from this article. Each person in the group–2 or 4 need to orally present quick summary on Wed.
- Wed, Aug 25
- 1st 10 min of class, meet w/ partner(s) to organize the presentation
- Everyone needs to take CNotes on the presentation; presentations will NOT be done in chronological order
- Intro The Odyssey begin the film; take CNotes over the film w/ the film prompt sheet

Pre AP 9–Holocaust Week 04/18/10

- Meet at the Kansas History Museum @ 12:15. Be dressed up!
- The program starts @ 1:30 pm and should be finished around 3+ pm. Everyone needs to be standing by their murals. People will be arriving prior to 1:30.
- Roll will be taken.
Tuesday, April 19–Field Trip to National Archives in KC
- Meet by Rm. 103 at 7:30 a.m. All permission slips must be in prior to departure!
- Bring umbrella–there maybe rain.
- You will need $ for lunch–we plan to go to the Plaza if it is not raining. We should be back no later than 3:30 pm.
Wednesday, April 20–Holocaust Evening of Presentations–7 pm
- Please be certain you have invited as many people as you want. This will be a night to show your business!
- You need to be at T-High by 6:15 pm in the Student Cafeteria. Dress Up.
- You need to decide on a spokesperson for each presentation to introduce your theme for research,
- We should be finished by 8:00 pm

March 14th, 2010Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday–March 15-17–Rm. 103 will be open and available for groups to meet on Holocaust Project. The rm is open from 9-noon. Come in the Western door by my room!

February 16th, 2010This is the last week for the trunk. All materials are being shipped on the 24th. Please return all books checked out!
Thurs., Feb. 18
- Work on murals–after school work session from 3-7 pm. Make arrangements w/groups. Pizza will be served @ 5 pm approximately
- Manage time–Monday is enrollment and I will be in Chicago. Mr. Titus will be my sub. You will go to class first and meet w/counselors. Then prelim enrollment will take place. Whatever time is left must be spent in the gallery!

- You should have finished Night. Outside writing prompt will be given in class. For those of you who were not there when the book was passed out, you need to pick it up from me and have it read before Thurs. **Everyone: You need to do your 10 favorite quotations in a Reading Log (typed–12 pt Times New Roman) to be turned in on Thurs.
- Groups will be given at the beginning of class along w/the hand out for “You Are There” Project. Each group will need to make some decisions on topic for the paper and multi media presentation.
- If you missed last week when Theresa Rush, IT, was here to discuss the project, you are responsible for getting your CNotes from someone in your assigned group.
Thurs., Jan 21
- Reading Logs are due over Night
- Journal 2 writing prompts–over Night–4 prompts–in your notebook
- I’m missing Group 5’s emails/topics/phone #s?????
- Come to class w/ some prelim research done on your own for your topic choice

- Be brainstorming the following: How are Odyssesus, Dorian, and Dr. Faustus examples of a “tragic hero”? Be prepared to do so preliminary writing
